Udacity Courses in Japanese

At Udacity, we believe everyone deserves a chance to get a great education and a great job.

This belief guides everything we do at Udacity, and is why we get excited when our courses are translated into new languages and made accessible to more people.

We’ve recently partnered with Tokyo-based Recruit Holdings to provide Japanese subtitles for Udacity courses.

So far the following six Udacity courses have been translated, with more to come:

To see the translations live go to the classroom and start viewing the course videos. Then click on the Closed Captions (CC) button on the YouTube player and select the language of your choice.
In addition to these fully translated courses, Japanese-speaking Udacians can check out a site launched in collaboration with Recruit that offers translated course overview pages and Japanese-subtitled introductory videos for over 30 Udacity courses. The site is optimized for mobile and is definitely worth checking out.

If you want to help break down language barriers, there is more work to be done! Join Udacity’s translator team on Amara and check out our blog post on how to get started.
