We are proud to launch Machine Learning 1: Supervised Learning today. Machine Learning is a part of the Georgia Tech Online Masters in Computer Science (OMSCS) program and we are very excited to open this course, along with other courses from the program, for all students on our platform.

The course covers Supervised Learning, which is an important component of all kinds of technologies, from stopping credit card fraud, to finding faces in camera images to recognizing spoken language. You’ll gain the skills you need to apply Supervised Learning concepts to solve a range of data science problems.

One of the best things about the course? It’s fun!

Srini Kadamati, who works in Data/Product at Radius, is one of a few students who got early access to take the course. He says:

“The relaxed and curious attitude of the teachers helps make advanced concepts like ML extremely approachable, just like my dad made algebra approachable to me as a 1st grader.

This is the first time I’ve taken a class that has 2 instructors that use the dialogue format to teach, and because they play off each other very well, it doesn’t seem like a uni-directional, practiced, regurgitated lecture, but instead a back-and-forth exploration and conversation about the subject matter in a way resembling freestyle rap or free jazz.”

We hope you enjoy the course as you learn about decision trees, neural networks, Computational Learning Theory and many other fascinating machine learning concepts – and some not-so-related but still important topics (such as how to survive a robot uprising).
Happy (Machine) Learning!
