OneTen/BIT - OneTen/BIT Scholarship - social impact - udacity scholarships

Apply for the 2023 OneTen/Blacks in Technology Scholarship Program.

The tech industry has a well-documented problem with diversity, and this lack of representation is particularly acute for Black people. In fact, Black individuals made up just 9% of those employed in STEM occupations according to a 2021 Pew Research Center report.

It’s also noteworthy that there has been no change in the share of Black workers in STEM jobs since 2016. This lack of diversity has serious consequences, both for the industry itself and for Black professionals working in tech.
