Before joining the AI Product Manager program, I understood product management fundamentals but struggled to confidently apply AI concepts in real-world product decisions. I found it challenging to bridge the gap between technical AI discussions (LLMs, model configuration, RAG, evaluation metrics) and business-focused product strategy. I often knew what to build, but not clearly how to structure AI-specific decisions like model settings, deployment trade-offs, or defining meaningful success metrics. The Udacity AI PM program helped me think like an AI product leader rather than just a general PM. It strengthened my ability to translate user problems into AI-driven solutions, prioritize features using structured frameworks like RICE, define MVP scope clearly, and make informed decisions about model configuration, deployment strategy, safety, and evaluation. Most importantly, I learned how to align AI system design with business outcomes and user value. After completing the program, I feel confident leading AI product conversations with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. I can now design AI-powered products end-to-end — from problem framing to MVP scoping to LLM configuration decisions — with clarity and strategic thinking.

Most AI courses I've encountered fall into two extremes: they are either too basic or overly technical. The AI PM Nanodegree hit the sweet spot, providing a perfect balance of business strategy and technical depth. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a well-curated curriculum.

I thought I knew or I can learn alone most basic AI principles, but this course proved me otherwise. I do not regret pursuing it. I now know way more and I am better prepared for interviews.

Before: I participated in AI projects with a traditional software development approach, especially regarding requirements and key performance indicators (KPIs). After: I realized that these projects require specific adjustments in these areas, in line with the incorporation of LLMs and their continued use by business users.
