Udacity Study Groups

We hear from many Udacians who love meeting their classmates for study groups, encouragement, and just kicking back to enjoy our thriving community. At our Second Annual Udacity Global Meetup, we had a blast celebrating our amazing student community (as well as talking about careers in tech)!

Sean Bennett, Course Developer for HTML5 Game Development, is a big advocate of student study groups and recently attended a new series of HTML5 Game Development study nights organized by Udacity students. Sean says, “Recently I had the privilege of attending a student-run study group for HTML5 Game Development at the HackerDojo in Sunnyvale. I got to talk to a group of students going through the course and answer any questions they had. The conversation ranged from the course itself, to web development, through HTML5 features, game development, monetization, and production.”

It’s always nothing short of amazing getting to talk to students one-on-one like this, and I had a ton of fun! I’d really love to thank Jenny for organizing it, and the students that attended the study group. And of course, Peter Lubbers decided to be awesome from afar and provide food for the study group!

Udacity, how do you like to connect with your classmates?

There are a few ways to get involved in your own student groups: make sure to check out your course forum study group tag, and also take advantage of the Udacity Meetup community. Visit your city’s Meetup community to plan your own study group, and see what community events are coming up in your area.

Let us know in the comments how you are connecting with the community!
