The Contest: Forecast Customer Flow

The contest is called “Customer Flow Forecasts on Koubei.com,” and it challenges data science enthusiasts across the globe to develop a new, innovative, and more intelligent business platform that can serve business and society better by providing merchants with customized back-end business intelligence services based on massive daily influxes of user data.

Put most simply, this contest is all about forecasting customer flow.

Who Should Enter: Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, and Machine Learning enthusiasts

For anyone interested in Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, and/or Machine Learning—for example, currently enrolled Udacity students, or those interested in enrolling in one of these programs—this contest represents an excellent opportunity to test your skills, and put your innovative ideas on display for some of the most important and influential companies currently leveraging these future-minded technologies to better serve their customers, and advance their business objectives.

Details: Win $10,000, and more!

You can learn more about the contest here, but one thing to know right away, there is a $10,000 prize for the winner! Competition is expected to be fierce, as over 3000 teams are expected to participate, but with an opportunity to present at IJCAI2017 on the line (as well as the cash prizes) data enthusiasts the world over should be taking a very close look at this contest.

Being An Education Partner

The opportunity to partner with a company of Alibaba’s global stature was of course a great incentive to get involved with this challenge, but as evidenced by our recently launched Self-Driving Car and Artificial Intelligence Nanodegree programs, it should also be abundantly clear that we are deeply invested in these fields, and believe fervently that these technologies represent not just the future of our world, but a better future for our world. With the launch of our newest program, Siraj Raval’s Deep Learning Nanodegree Foundation program, we are especially excited to bring these transformational technologies to more and more aspiring learners across the planet.

To date, our Machine Learning Nanodegree program is one of our most popular and successful Nanodegree programs, and we are so excited to witness the ways in which our graduates—from ALL these programs!—are going to impact the world. Will a Udacity team win THIS competition? It wouldn’t surprise us at all! But whoever wins, the contest is sure to produce some amazing innovations.
