Udacity Talks debuts today, and we couldn’t be more excited! We had nothing but high hopes from the start, but the response we’ve received has exceeded our expectations by such a wide margin it’s almost inconceivable. What else can we say but thank you!!! We’re so happy this is proving to be of value to our community, and we can’t wait for tomorrow’s first episode.

As a reminder: our Udacity Talks episode with Tony Fadell is scheduled for Friday, May 13, 2016 at 4pm PT. To learn more about tomorrow’s episode, upcoming guests, and the series in general, please visit Udacity Talks.

We know debuting with Tony Fadell is a huge part of why interest level has been so high. His is a remarkable story, and one that’s fundamentally indivisible from the larger narrative of Silicon Valley as a whole. With a mission to connect our students with the most important voices in this community, Tony was an obvious choice, and we feel very fortunate to have him as our first guest for Udacity Talks.

We’re also very excited that our own Sebastian Thrun will be moderating the conversation. He’ll provide a brief introduction to the series, welcome Tony, and then dive in with some initial questions. If you’ve ever heard or seen Tony speak before, you know he doesn’t hold back, and given Sebastian’s relentless inquisitiveness, conversation between these two is bound to be provocative!

Sebastian will then segue into questions from you, our students. When we announced Udacity Talks, we provided a link for people to submit questions in advance.* Reading what’s come in has been one of the most affirming experiences of this whole process. Witnessing the caliber, depth, and thoughtfulness of these questions, and knowing full well what an engaged thinker and communicator Tony is, we expect tomorrow’s session to provide some amazing insights.

*When you RSVP, your confirmation email includes the link to submit questions in advance.

Tony will also be engaging with students in real time. You can ask questions directly on the YouTube page, or via social media using #UdacityTalks.

So set your clocks, mark your calendar, bookmark the link, and gear up for the event of the season. Udacity Talks debuts tomorrow!
