Udacity Connect Intensive Syllabus

  • Month #1

    Intro to Data Analysis with Python

    Learn Python libraries essential for data analysis. Use Jupyter notebooks and go through the entire data analysis process.

  • Month #2

    Statistics and Data Wrangling

    Perform statistical hypothesis testing and make inferences. Dive deeper into cleaning and reshaping data using Python and SQL.

  • Month #3

    Exploratory Data Analysis with R

    Use R to explore a dataset - create visualizations, search for outliers and discover relationship between variables.

  • Month #4

    Machine Learning

    Learn the fundamentals of machine learning - feature selection, classification and regression, unsupervised learning.

Prerequisites and Requirements

  • Knowledge of basic algebra or arithmetic proven though a course completion certificate or related work experience
  • Understanding of programming concepts, such as variables, functions, loops, and basic Python data structures like lists and dictionaries as demonstrated by completion of first 3 lessons of Introduction to Computer Science or Programming Foundation in Python offered by Udacity or equivalent work projects.
  • High school degree or GED or equivalent certificate

  • When and where will the sessions be held?

    Weekly sessions meet every Saturday from 2 PM to 5 PM (except listed holidays) at 9E 53rd Street, 3rd floor, Room 1, New York, NY 10022.

    Outside of class, you are expected to learn online for 10 additional hours per week on your own schedule.

  • Can I receive a degree from Udacity upon completing the program the New York school?

    Udacity is not an accredited university and does not confer degrees. You will receive a certificate of completion for the applicable program. Udacity Nanodegree (TM) programs are not offered through the New York school.
