Closely related to the artificial intelligence field, machine learning concerns the computer science of algorithm design, specifically, algorithms that can "learn" new information over time. This program prepares you to take on the role of a Machine Learning Engineer by teaching you the mathematical concepts that form the foundation of predictive modeling.
Machine Learning Engineer is an advanced Nanodegree, designed to build upon your existing knowledge of coding and mathematical systems and teach you the complex parts that comprise a predictive program or machine. Using R programming language, learn advanced statistical computing and how to put it to use in existing and theoretical machine learning systems. Complete the module projects at your own pace, designing predictive software to extrapolate housing prices and teach a smartcab to drive itself. Finally, update your machine engineering resume and portfolio and learn how to master the art of the technical job interview.
Study 8 hrs/week and complete in 6-8 mo.
