This intermediate Nanodegree teaches iOS development using Swift. You can use your experience with object-oriented programming to build a collection of apps and put together a professional iOS developer portfolio. Each of the course's five modules includes a programming project for you to practice what you've learned as you go. In the final module, you will build an iOS app of your own design and can submit it to the App Store. The course materials introduce you to Xcode, Apple's Integrated Development Environment for iOS and Mac apps. Using this graphical interface, you can code with the Swift programming language to create apps that do everything from changing people's voice recordings to pinning locations on a map that shows local photos. Developing iOS apps requires a Mac or Apple device to program components such as text fields, composite views, web services, and networking. Once you've mastered the course content, you can design and create iOS apps independently.
