AI Product Manager - Product Manager - student success stories

Celebrating Women’s History Month with Jasmine Lawrence | Student Success

Jasmine Lawrence has success written all over her. From being a teenage CEO (13 years to be precise) to working at Softbank, Facebook and now Moonshot X Factory; Jasmine has done it all. She has been on the Forbes’ 30 under 30 list, got interviewed by Oprah, and won several accolades that speak volumes about her success.

But this success didn’t come easy to her. She worked hard for it, got the right skills and persevered through the journey.

Jasmine currently works as a Product Manager on the Everyday Robot project at X, the Moonshot Factory. The Everyday Robot project is building a new type of learning robot — one that can eventually learn to help everyone, every day.

She had been eyeing this role for eight years. “I tried for this role in 2012 and 2016 and finally got it in 2020. Thanks to Udacity,” she said.

Watch the video to know more about her journey to her dream job.

A graduate of our AI Product Nanodegree program and the Product Manager Interview Preparation free course, Jasmine says, “One of the biggest challenges that I have overcome by being a woman in tech is being able to advocate for myself and to know my own worth.”
