Udacity is excited to announce that we are launching 15,000 scholarships in Cloud Computing, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence with Bertelsmann for the second year! The scholarship program is part of a three-year commitment by Bertelsmann to fund 50,000 tech scholarships for students to learn with Udacity.

With today’s changing landscape, the demand for skilled professionals in cloud technology, business analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning is growing rapidly across disciplines and industries. The goal of Bertelsmann Technology Scholarship Program is to empower individuals with the skill sets to jumpstart their careers in our increasingly digital world.

Our first scholarship phase ended successfully in September 2020 with graduates now ready to apply their new skills. Now, our second phase is starting with another two-stage scholarship. Applicants can apply for one of three tech learning paths —  Cloud, Data, or AI —  then we will select 15,000 recipients to participate in one of the following nearly four-month-long challenge courses:

Introduction to Azure Applications: Expand your knowledge about Microsoft Azure Applications. Learn the fundamentals of deploying an application to Azure, understand the benefits and costs of cloud deployments, different types of service models, and how to navigate the Microsoft Azure platform.

Introduction to Problem Solving and Advanced Analytics: Get introduced to business advanced analytics and learn the basics of problem-solving frameworks, analytical methodology, and linear regression — that allow users to efficiently apply data analysis to business problem-solving.

Introduction to AI in Business: Learn the basics of artificial intelligence and machine learning and their applications in Business. Gain foundational knowledge of AI and machine learning, how to develop a business case for an AI application, and how and when to use AI in a product.

The top 1,600 students from the initial challenge courses will then earn a full Nanodegree program scholarship in their chosen track. Upon graduation, graduates will have acquired in-demand data, AI, or cloud computing skills to launch or advance their careers in our tech-driven economy.

“Udacity is honored to partner with Bertelsmann and enable learners across the world to grow their careers through tech education,” said Gabriel Dalporto, CEO of Udacity. “We’re committed to our mission to train the world’s workforce in the careers of the future, and we’re excited to see all the great things this second cohort will accomplish.”

You can learn more about the Bertelsmann Technology scholarship program here. You must be 18 years or older to apply, and applications will close on November 16, 2020. We look forward to reviewing your scholarship application, and welcoming you in the Udacity classroom soon. Good luck!
